PRODUCT USAGE TIPS FOR THE WINTER

As temperatures begin to drop around the country, we thought we’d share a few quick tips for using Gator sands and sealers in the winter. A very beneficial blog post for anyone planning a hardscape project this holiday season!

G2 Polymeric Sand with Rapid Set Technology
Our polymeric sand is rainproof after 15 minutes in temperatures above 32 degrees Fahrenheit. However, the product will not fully cure until it dries. It’s important to note that in colder temperatures, the drying time could take several days.

Gator Dust
Gator Dust requires higher working temperatures than polymeric sand. Dust is rainproof in 24 hours in temperatures above 59 degrees Fahrenheit … and that’s a minimum temperature for 24 hours; not the high of the day!

Sealers
To achieve optimal performance of our sealers, surface and air temperatures should be a minimum of 60 degrees Fahrenheit for solvents and 40 degrees Fahrenheit for water based products.
